Donna

Head of Flying Operations

Donna has been flying in hot air balloons since 2002. Donna had her first balloon flight in Canberra when she realized there was not much else to do in the nations capital.

This gave her a desire to become a commercial pilot which she has since done, and absolutely loves it! She has experience flying in the Avon Valley, Myanmar & Victoria.

In her spare time, Donna loves keeping up to date with politics & knows everything about the soap opera ‘Home and Away’.

Dom

Former World Champion

Dom has been around balloons for as long as he can remember, his father having been a balloon pilot for over 45 years. Growing up in the UK, it was always part of our summer to travel somewhere in Europe, supporting his father in balloon competitions.

He started flying, along with his sister in 2012. Since then he has competed in several events spanning across the UK and Europe including becoming the youngest ever winner in the 2018 World Championships.

My favourite ballooning memories include flying during a solar eclipse in Argentina in 2019 & winning the 2018 World Championship.

In his spare time Dom enjoys beach volleyball, a good drop of gin & star gazing.

Viktor

Maintenance Manager

Viktor began ballooning in 1997 and his love for aviation and adrenaline did not stop there, he has over 60 B.A.S.E jumps as well as over 1600 sky dives (with a parachute).

In 1998 he made his TV debut in the show “Extreme Sport” where he worked as a reporter but despite his newfound fame he got back into ballooning in 2002 when was the president of the Hot Air Balloon Federation of Samara.

Viktor looks after all the maintenance at Picture This and makes sure all the equipment meets safety standards and is in tip top shape for every flight.

In his spare time Viktor enjoys catching up with friends, spending time with his family & singing R&B.

Andrew

Alternate Head of Flying Operations

Andrew splits his time flying for us in Melbourne & Balloon Aloft in Mudgee, New South Wales.

He would say he is one of the coolest pilots we have, a real topic which many would debate. He currently flies over Melbourne and the Yarra Valley and is forever learning and mastering his craft.

In his spare time, Andrew loves spending time with his family & earns some extra cash as an Ed Sheeran impersonator.

Brian

Yarra Valley & Melbourne

Brian has many years of experience in the Yarra Valley and worldwide.

In his spare time, Brian loves his miniature train set & quoting Thomas the Tank Engine.

Dean

Yarra Valley & Regional Victoria

Dean has been a hot air balloon pilot after starting as one of our crew many years ago.

He has experience flying throughout Australia and loves flying socially in his balloon.

In his spare time, he enjoys reading & he is currently halfway through the Oxford Dictionary!
